God 501: The Reason God Would Score Low on a Professor-Rating Website

by | Jan 10, 2018 | God 501 Series

Think about the best teacher you ever had. You probably loved this teacher because he or she cared about you, helped you understand the topic, made you feel good about yourself, did what you wanted, and made your life better. And that’s okay. That’s even good – in a school setting.

When the Lord teaches you, He makes it all about Him.  Such low concentration on what the students want may not get Him a very high score on RateMyProfessors.com. But that’s good, really good – in an eternal setting.

That’s because not only is He the ultimate Teacher; He’s also the ultimate Subject. His course comes with a promise for your soul.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” (Is. 54:13)

Simple Takeaway: There is only one good Teacher you can have for every class, all of the time, and who teaches you all about Himself. And such teaching all about God is precisely what you need in order to feel peace about who you are, what you do, and what it all means. Make Him your primary Teacher and you’ll see how even the very best teacher you had for any program or school didn’t even come close to doing for you what He can.

Footnote about this article: 500 level courses are great for learning and expanding upon the basics of any subject without being boring and elementary. When it comes to the subject of God, a lot of the basics have been lost in this modern age. So, this article is the fifth in a one-of-a-kind series entitled: God 501. These unique 501 articles will be geared for 1) those of you who appreciate refresher Biblical messages through lesser-known verses and 2) for many others who missed out on some Biblical teaching somewhere along the way and would appreciate a non-intimidating, fresh way to catch up.
